ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
The Historical Society of Millersburg & Upper Paxton Township (a non-profit 501 C3, corporation) was established on June 3, 1980 in order to foster interest in the history of Millersburg and vicinity.
We exist specifically to help our membership and members of the community:
CONDUCT RESEARCH
We serve members and visitors who wish to search for a long-ago relative, explore the area's past, or gain insight into our present (the HSMUPT utilizes volunteer staff to offer tours of the museum on Center Street in Millersburg upon request).
COLLECT, PRESERVE & DISPLAY ARTIFACTS
We have more tens of thousands of records and objects of art and historic significance at our Museum location.
SITE PRESERVATION
We mark, acquire, preserve, and restore local sites of historic significance including the Museum building and the train depot.
ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY
We pursue such activities as may be related to the history, culture and art of the community.
